P. T. S. Professional Engineers are trained & certified by RISA Technologies, to analyze & design monopoles, self supporting lattice & guyed mast towers using RISATowers. This software is a general-purpose modeling, analysis, and design program created specifically for communications towers. The following standards codes and standards are currently implemented: RS-222, RS-222-A, RS-222-B, EIA-222C, EIA-222-D, EIA-222-E, TIA/EIA-222F, and TIA-222-G (including Addendum 1).
Structural analysis of a mast / tower is not restricted to a visual inspection of the structure. Visual inspection of the tower will show the physical condition of the elements such as cracks, bent members, rusting and other such characteristics. What a visual inspection will not show is the extent to which the tower is overstressed under varying elemental conditions due to the loads its required to support.
A structural analysis utilize mathematical engineering formulas to determine stresses, along with known behavior and reaction of different materials under stress to determine if any point on the structure is stressed beyond safe limit.
With the use of RISATower, the most recognized and adaptable software for the telecom industry analysis, we can create a mathematical model of any tower used for the support of telecommunications paraphernalia and we can quickly analyze the stress reactions at multiple points on the structure
P. T. S. is able to utilize RISATower to determine if an existing structure is already overloaded or if it has the capacity to accommodate additional loads. RISATower will effectively assist us to provide a computerised analysis in accordance with the relevant and applicable codes (ANSI/TIA/EIA 222) to satisfy thorough behavioral analysis of the structure from which a complete report can be generated. From our analysis P. T. S. will be able to provide firm recommendations for modifications to the tower to enable it to accept additional loads.
REQUIRED INFORMATION
P. T. S. will analyze Monopoles, Self Supporting Lattice or Guyed Towers. To provide an accurate structural analysis, all details of the tower and loads, including adverse elemental condition will need to be provided by client.
TECHNICAL SERVICES
The technical team at P. T. S. can provide onsite inspection to determine the physical condition of your tower, provide an accurate inventory of tower loading and obtain physical dimension and photographic records. Our inspection includes the use of state of the art equipment such as ultrasonic meters to determine thickness of steel and other like devices for other technical determination. The preparations of site surveys and as built drawings are also included in our technical services.
